Officiating Information

NEW this season... Officials on-ice training and mentoring program!

This will be required of all new officials during the 2026-2027 season. Returning veteran officials are highly encouraged to participate in this new program if they previously haven't had on-ice training and mentorship. Those that do will have priority given when scheduling for games.

Officiating Membership registration begins on May 1. Courses start in June.

If you turn 12 before November 5 you are eligible to officiate during the season. You must register with USA Hockey & complete all requirements before you can begin officiating. 

Note: An official that does not have a completed 2026-27 Membership after November 30, 2026 will become ineligible to work USA Hockey sanctioned games until they complete their current season membership and receive their referee card and crest.
