Winter 2019 Learn To Skate USA Registration Open

Learn to Skate USA is endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey and US Speedskating.  Our mission is to provide a fun and positive experience that will instill a lifelong love of skating.

Classes for Ages 3 and up.  Including Adult, Dance (for Free Skate 2 and up) & Learn to Play Hockey 


Sunday, November 17th from 3:00-6:00 pm

Sunday, November 24th from 3:00-6:00 pm

LTS Registration closes on Friday, December 13th, 2019 

WHERE: South Wood County Recreation Center, 2711 16th Street South, Wisconsin Rapids, WI  

CLASS DATES:  JANUary 5, 12, 19, 26 & February 2, 9, 16 & 23

All LTS classes will be held between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm.  You will be notified by email one week prior to the start of the session with the exact time of your 30 minute class.  


COST:  All classes $60.00 for first skater; $55.00 for any additional skaters/classes 

EQUIPMENT:  Students will need to have skates (no double blades) with sturdy skate boots.  Rental skates are available through the rink for a fee of $24 due at first lesson ($3 per lesson for 8 lessons). Skate guards are recommended for safety. **Hockey equipment can be rented from the hockey association. Please contact Randy Miller at or 715-421-9653 for rental information. 

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: For families who qualify and agree to the guidelines, financial assistance is available to defray the cost of lessons and skates. Guidelines and the application are posted on our website.
