About Us
SWCYHA was established in February of 1974. For many years, practices and games occurred on outdoor rinks under harsh winter weather. In 1992, a dedicated group of community leaders led the fundraising and development of an indoor ice facility, the South Wood County Recreation Center (SWCRC).
A variety of programs are offered to boys and girls of preschool through grade 9, if applicable. The SWCYHA consists of dedicated parent/guardian volunteers whose goal is to ensure kids have fun in the sport of ice hockey. It is the vision of SWCYHA to ensure that any child that wants to play hockey, can play hockey.
