The SWCYHA has been built and entirely run by volunteers. They are essential in keeping costs reasonable and ensuring opportunities for the youth we currently serve and for those in the future. Each family must commit to fulfill the volunteer requirements for each season.

For the 2023-24 season, the Association will continue to utilize the online DIBS system to claim and track each member’s obligation commitments to the many events the Association will host. This year’s DIBS items will include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • River Kings Hockey Concessions
  • Fundraising events (i.e Sportsman Banquet, etc)
  • Approved Zamboni Drivers
  • Any additional approved rink maintenance items as assigned by the Rink Manager and approved by the Board of Directors
  • Approved Coaches, Assistant coaches, and Team Managers
  • Other approved roles that support the running of the association (i.e. DIBS Coordinator, Scheduler, etc.)

Every family registered as a member of SWCYHA is responsible for 15 hours (credits) for the season, mite level and higher.
